This manual implements Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 11-2, Aircrew Operations, and Air
Force Instruction (AFI) 11-209, Participation in Aerial Events. It designates Air Mobility
Command (AMC), as lead command, to standardize aircraft demonstrations and capabilities
demonstrations applicable to C-17, C-130 (all variants), and KC-135 (all variants) mobility
aircraft. This manual applies to civilian employees and uniformed members of the Regular Air
Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard. Ensure all records generated as a result of
processes prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Instruction
33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program, and are disposed in
accordance with the Air Force Records Disposition Schedule, which is located in the Air Force
Records Information Management System. MAJCOMs, field operating agencies and direct
reporting units may supplement this manual. Forward one copy to AMC/A38 after publication.
Refer recommended changes and questions about this publication to the Office of Primary
Responsibility (OPR) using the AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change of Publication; route
AF Forms 847 from the field through the appropriate functional’s chain of command. The
authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication are identified with a Tier
(“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement. Refer to DAF Instruction
(DAFI) 33-360, Publications and Forms Management, Table 1.1 for a description of the
authorities associated with the Tier numbers. Submit requests for waivers through the chain of
command to the appropriate Tier waiver approval authority, or alternately, to the requestor’s
