MILITARY STANDARD
AIRBORNE SOUND MEASUREMENTS AND ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA OF SHIPBOARD EQUIPMENT
MIL-STD-740-1(SH), dated 30 December 1986, is inactive for new design and shall be no longer used for
new designs.
New designs should use the “Shipboard Equipment Noise” requirement section of MIL-STD-1474, “Noise
Limits.”
CAUTION: The superseding information is valid as of the date of this notice and may be superseded by
subsequent revisions of the superseding document.
