1. Purpose. To transmit revised page 3 of enclosure (2); new page 4 of enclosure (3); and
revised page 1 of enclosure (4), which provides updated capability as a result of added mission
requirements. Specific changes adds the required operational capability to conduct underwater
search operations with video and still cameras; and a unit type code underwater documentation
team (UTC L7UWT) to provide underwater photography and videography in support of search,
salvage, and rescue operations.
2. Action. Remove page 3 of enclosure (2) and page 1 of enclosure (4) of the basic instruction
and insert enclosure (1), enclosure (2), and enclosure (3), respectively, of this change transmittal.
3. Records Management
a. Records created as a result of this change transmittal, regardless of format or media, must
be maintained and dispositioned per the records disposition schedules located on the Department
of the Navy/Assistant for Administration (DON/AA), Directives and Records Management
Division (DRMD) portal page at
