1. Purpose. To provide policy and delineate specific
responsibilities for the packaging of Navy material. This
instruction is being reissued with a new date, updated version
and signature authority to meet Chief of Naval Operation’s age
requirement for Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV)
instructions. This is a complete revision and should be
reviewed in its entirety.
