1. Purpose. This instruction:
a. Prescribes DON-specific program acquisition and
sustainment policies and procedures that supplement applicable
Department of Defense (DoD) issuances to provide for the
integrated, efficient, and successful operation of the Defense
Acquisition System (DAS), and provides policies for the
implementation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF)
within the Department of the Navy (DON). Enclosures (1) through
(19) provides detailed policy and guidance for this program.
