1. Purpose. To implement policies and procedures per
references (a) through (g) to govern the operation, resourcing
and management of Department of the Navy (DON) Fisher Houses.
2. Cancellation. SECNAVINST 7010.8B
3. Applicability. This instruction applies to the Offices of
the Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), the Chief of Naval
Operations (CNO), the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC), and
all U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps installations, commands,
activities, field offices, and all other organizational entities
within the DON.
4. Policy
a. This instruction applies to the DON Fisher Houses
operated by Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC).
b. The DON Fisher House Program provides temporary,
convenient and affordable lodging to Medical Treatment Facility
(MTF) patients, family members, and others providing the
