FEDERAL SPECIFICATION
SULFURIC ACID, TECHNICAL
This specification was approved by the Commissioner, Federal
Supply and Services, General Services Administration, for the use
of all Federal Agencies.
1. SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Scope. This specification covers technical grade sulfuric acid.
1.2 Classification. Sulfuric acid shall be of the following types and
classes as specified (see 6.2).
Type I - 66 deg. Baume
Type II - 60 deg. Baume
Class 1 - For galvanizing and plating
Class 2 - For general use
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
