specification is approved for use by all
Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.

SCOPE

This specification establishes the general requirementsfor
hydraulic linear actuators
when used in any aircrafthydraulicsystem except
flight controls.
The complete actuator assemblymay incorporateother
COIJWOnentSj.
such as check valves, solenoid valves,
bypasa valves, and pressure
switches, in addition to the actuator.
The actuator may be controlled by
mechanical linkage, electrical means, or direct hydraulic power.
