This publication implements Air Force Policy Directive 11-2, Aircrew Operations, Air Force
Instruction (AFI) 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General Operations
Structure, and AFI 11-202, Volume 3, General Flight Rules. Along with major command and local
procedures, this publication prescribes standard procedures used by all pilots operating an Air
Force (AF) T-41, T-51, or T-53 aircraft. This publication applies to uniformed members of the
Regular Air Force and uniformed members of the associate pilot program as defined by AFI 90-
1001, Planning Total Force Associations; the publication does not apply to any other Air Force
Reserve or Air National Guard personnel. Ensure all records created as a result of processes
prescribed in this publication are maintained in accordance with Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 33-
363, Management of Records, and disposed of in accordance with the Air Force Record
Disposition Schedule located within the Air Force Records Information Management System.
Submit suggested improvements to this publication on AF Form 847, Recommendation for Change
of Publication, to the parent major command through standardization/evaluation channels to the
office of primary responsibility (OPR) of this publication. Major commands coordinate major
command-level supplements through the OPR of this publication and the Air Force Flight
Standards Agency Flight Directives Division (AFFSA/XOF) prior to publication. Field units
below major command level coordinate their supplements through their parent major command
OPR prior to publication. The authorities to waive wing/unit level requirements in this publication
are identified with a Tier (“T-0, T-1, T-2, T-3”) number following the compliance statement. See
AFI 33-360, Publications and Forms Management, for a description of the authorities associated
