This manual implements Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 11-202, Volume 3, Flight Operations. It
prescribes standard operational procedures for the United States Air Force (USAF) RQ-4
remotely-piloted aircraft (RPA) systems. This publication applies to Regular Air Force, and the
Air Force Reserve. This publication does not apply to the United States Space Force or the Air
National Guard. Failure to observe the prohibitions and mandatory provisions in paragraphs 1.6
and 2.3.4 of this publication by military members is a violation of Article 92 of the Uniform Code
of Military Justice (UCMJ). The use of the name or mark of any specific manufacturer, commercial
product, commodity, or service in this publication does not imply endorsement by the Air Force.
Major Commands (MAJCOMs)/direct reporting units (DRUs)/field operating agencies (FOAs) are
to forward proposed MAJCOM/DRU/FOA-level supplements to this volume to the United States
Air Force Flight Standards Agency (AFFSA/A3OF), through Air Combat Command High Altitude
Reconnaissance Operations Branch (ACC/A3MR), for approval prior to publication in accordance
with AFI 11-200, Aircrew Training, Standardization/Evaluation, and General Operations
Structure. Copies of MAJCOM/DRU/FOA-level supplements, after approved and published, will
be provided by the using MAJCOM/DRU/FOA to AFFSA/A3OF, ACC/A3MR, and the user
MAJCOM/DRU/FOA offices of primary responsibility (OPR). Field units below
MAJCOM/DRU/FOA level will forward copies of their supplements to this publication to their
parent MAJCOM/DRU/FOA OPR for post publication review.
