WASHER, FLAT (PLAIN)
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this amendment that forms a part
of FF-W-92B, dated May 9, 1974, by all federal agencies.
PAGE 2
Federal Standards: Delete “Fed. Std. No. 66 – Steel: Chemical Composition and Hardenability”.
PAGE 3
At the bottom of para. 2.2: Add
“Society of Automotive Engineer (SAE):
AMS-STD-66 – Steel: Chemical Composition and Hardenability
(Application for copies should be addressed to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE),
400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001.”
3.1.1: Delete “Fed. Std. No. 66” and substitute “SAE-AMS-STD-66”.
3.1.2: Delete and substitute:
“3.1.2 Class B – Corrosion-resisting steel
. Corrosion-resisting steel washers shall be type 301, 302, 304, 305
or 316 in accordance with SAE-AMS-STD-66.”
