PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
LIGHTS, COMPOSITE, VEHICULAR (METRIC)
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and
Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers two types of vehicular composite light assemblies
each consisting of a service driving light, infrared driving light, blackout driving light, and a
blackout marker light. The vehicular composite light assemblies are referred to herein as “light
assemblies”. The light assemblies are designed for use on military tracked vehicles equipped with
nominal 24-volt (V) direct current (dc) electrical systems (see 6.1).
1.2 Classification. The light assemblies are of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Quick detachable.
Type II - Bolt-down base.
