ANTIFREEZE,ARCTIC-TYPE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the
Department of Defense.
10 SCOPE
1.1 $co~e. This specification covers one type of antifreeze compound for use
in the cooling system of liquid-cooled internal combustion engines for protection
against freezing in ambient temperatures as low as -68 ‘C (see 6.1).
