SUBJECT: AETC Guidance Memorandum for AETC Cloud Migration Direction.
RELEASABILITY: There are no releasability restrictions on this publication.
1. By Order of the Commander, Air Education and Training Command, this AETC guidance
memorandum is the first instance of a to-be issued AETC instruction governing migration
guidance for Department of the Air Force Enterprise Cloud Services. Compliance with this
guidance memorandum is mandatory. To the extent its direction is inconsistent with other AETC
publications, the information herein prevails, in accordance with DAFI 90-160, Publications and
Forms Management.
2. This guidance memorandum implements SAF/CN Memorandum, Migration Guidance for
Department of the Air Force Enterprise Cloud Services, and DoD CIO Memorandum, Interim
Guidance for Implementation of the Department of Defense Cloud Strategy. It also aligns with
AFPD 17-1, Information Dominance Governance and Management, the future directive
publication for this guidance. This memorandum provides provisional migration guidance for
Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise Cloud Services for all AETC system owners.
3. This directive applies to all military and civilian personnel assigned to AETC who attend,
administrate, deliver, evaluate, manage, or support the force development mission. It applies to
all information, information systems (IS), and cyberspace and information technology (IT)
infrastructure within AETC purview. Exception: AETC personnel under the administrative
control of an AETC unit, but under the operational control of a non-AETC agency or school will
comply with the guidance and requirements as established by contract, memorandum of
agreement, memorandum of understanding, or training affiliation agreement between those
