1. Purpose. To publish the mission, functions and tasks of Commander, Naval Information
Warfare Systems Command (COMNAVWARSYSCOM) per references (a). Authorities and
functions are governed by references (b) through (l). This is a complete revision and should be
reviewed in its entirety.

3. Mission. To identify, develop, deliver and sustain information warfare capabilities and
services that enable naval, joint, coalition and other national missions operating in war fighting
domains from seabed to space; and to perform such other functions and tasks as directed.
