Purpose: In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02, this instruction establishes
policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for DoD oversight of the Military
Departments’ Senior ROTC programs (referred to in this instruction as “ROTC programs”).
